Coney Island  A native of Brooklyn, as a young boy Rosenfeld often frequented Coney Island, the place where his parents met, when his father offered his mother a piece of Juicy Fruit chewing gum, as family legend has it. Yet years went by and Coney Island fell into disuse and disrepair. Just before the City was about to rejuvenate it, Rosenfeld and his wife paid several visits to Coney Island. They took pictures. Rosenfeld then produced a series of, mostly small, watercolors, creating a snapshot in time of the place he used to know. These colorful works bring to life the people, places and things of that place, at that time.
